Women of Flexo will once again build upon its popular conference, which enters its third edition in 2025. From March 4-5, the FTA’s annual Women of Flexo Conference will take place at the new Bobst Competency Center in Atlanta, GA, USA.

The Women of Flexo Conference brings together a diverse community of women in the flexo industry to network professionally, share knowledge, and inspire and support one another. The conference focuses on topics related to flexo and the experience of women in the industry. This year, the event’s theme will be “Art & Science.”

“Our theme this year is ‘Art & Science,’ because from the pressroom to networking, there is an art and a science to everything we do,” explains Kara Pedigo of BiOrigin Specialty Products and chair of Women of Flexo. “People attending the conference can expect to hear topics like The Art and Science of Business & Strategy, Chemistry in Flexo & Business, a panel discussion, and tour of Bobst’s facility. They can also expect meaningful relationship building and opportunities to network and foster connections with fellow women in the flexo industry.”

Over the course of two days, attendees will experience interactive workshops and speaker sessions. The event will also tout the significant growth the community has undergone since its establishment three years ago.

“We’re growing all the time,” adds Pedigo. “From our first conference at MacDermid to now, we’ve more than doubled our attendance, which allows us the opportunity to improve and expand on each of our events. It also allows us to reach more and more women in the flexo industry. Our network is continuously growing, and you can find a WoF member at almost any industry event you attend. We’ve built a strong, meaningful community in the last few years, and we have no plans on slowing down.”

The Women of Flexo membership includes individuals from all types of educational backgrounds and work experiences, which creates a dynamic and diverse network. By participating in these committees, attendees have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals who share their enthusiasm and drive while learning from a variety of perspectives.

“Prospective members should know that joining and getting involved is an incredibly rewarding experience,” says Catherine Haynes of All Printing Resources and co-chair of Women of Flexo. “Our organization is built on the energy and dedication of our members, who are deeply passionate about this industry and the work we do. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran with years of experience or a newcomer just starting out, you’ll find a welcoming community here.

“Getting involved means more than just contributing to the organization,” adds Haynes. “It’s also a chance to grow personally and professionally, build lasting relationships, and make a meaningful impact in an industry we all care deeply about.”

Additionally, attendees will get an exclusive look at Bobst’s new Competence Center, which was established in 2024. Bobst has served as an integral part of both the FTA and Women of Flexo.

“Hosting the Women of Flexo event at our Atlanta Competence Center is a significant milestone for Bobst, reflecting our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the printing and packaging industry,” states Katie Graham of Bobst and a Women of Flexo member. “This event not only showcases the incredible talent and innovation of women in flexographic printing but also underscores our dedication to empowering future leaders. By bringing together industry professionals, thought leaders, and aspiring talents, we aim to create a collaborative environment where ideas can flourish and barriers can be broken.

“For Bobst, this event symbolizes our belief in the power of diverse perspectives to drive creativity and excellence, reinforcing our mission to support and inspire the next generation of women in our field,” adds Graham. “We are proud to be a part of this movement and to contribute to a more inclusive industry that values every voice.”

In the future, Women of Flexo anticipates building on the strong momentum it has cultivated over the last three years. “The Women of Flexo organization is committed to fostering growth, inclusivity, and empowerment within our industry,” comments Haynes. “Looking ahead, you can expect us to continue building opportunities for connection, professional development, and mentorship. We’re focused on expanding our programs, celebrating the achievements of women in flexo, and creating an environment where members at all career stages feel supported and inspired to thrive. The future holds even more collaborative initiatives and impactful events that drive positive change within our community and the industry as a whole.”
